Accessing and understanding payslips

  • How do I access my payslip?

Your payslip is generated automatically at the end of each monthly payroll cycle (between the 6th and the 10th) and sent to you by email. If you haven't received it or need a copy, contact our support team at [email protected] and we'll resend it to you.

  • I cannot open my payslip.

If you're having trouble opening your payslip file, contact our support team at [email protected] and let them know which month is affected. They'll resend it to you.

  • How do I understand my payslip?

Your payslip consists of 3 separate sections: Your gross salary which includes your worked or adjusted hours, 13th salary and eventually bank holidays compensation. The second part are the deductions, which includes social security and retirement, unemployment insurance, sickness and non-occupational accident insurances, and eventually withholding tax if you are subject to it. Finally, the payslip ends with your net pay as well as a balance summary of your accumulated holiday balance.

Salary payment timing and missing salary

  • When are salaries paid?

Salaries are paid on a monthly cycle between the 6th and the 10th, once that month's payroll has been fully processed, checked, and approved. The payroll schedule is communicated to all employees and updated once a year. If you have not received the payroll schedule for this year, please contact our support team at [email protected] and we will send it to you.

  • What should I do if I have not received my salary?

Payments are automatically made after each month, by the 10th of the following month at the latest.

If you are contacting us between the 1st and the 10th following the month for which you should be paid, please be patient and understand that payments are made between the 6th and 10th. Please note, that if you have a bank account with Postfinance, your payment may take longer to reach you due to increased processing times (+2 days).

If you still haven't received your payment after the 10th of the following month (exemple: February 10th for work done in January), please contact our support team and let us know. We'll check your worked hours and payroll record to see what happened, and if a correction is needed we'll log it so it can be resolved as quickly as possible, including an urgent payment if the situation requires it.

  • What if my salary seems wrong?

Contact our support team at [email protected] and explain what exactly is wrong, for example missing salary elements or an unexpected deduction. We'll verify your claims, and if we confirm there is an error, we'll log the correction so it's applied in the next payroll cycle, or process an urgent payment if needed.

Requesting salary and unemployment documents

  • How do I request a salary certificate?

You don't need to request it: an annual salary certificate is generated automatically for every eligible employee once the payroll year closes (around the end of February the following year), and it's emailed directly to you at that time. It's also sent electronically to your cantonal tax office.

The only situation in which you will need to request it is if you are definitively leaving the Swiss territory during the current year. In this case, please send us your request to our support team at [email protected] so that we may send you your salary certificate.

  • How do I request unemployment or intermediate earnings documents?

For an Employer's Certificate (used for unemployment benefits), contact our support team, we'll prepare and send it; it's also issued upon request once your contract ends. For an Intermediate Earnings Certificate, contact our support team to request it directly; we will then add you to an automatic mailing list in which your certificate will be generated and sent to you between the 6th and 10th of the following month. Either way, it's your responsibility to forward the document on to your unemployment office.
