Plans change: you go on holiday, your schedule shifts for a month, or you simply don't need next Tuesday's cleaning. Batmaid gives you several levels of flexibility for a recurring plan — change a single visit, skip a single visit, pause the whole plan for a while, or cancel it entirely. This article covers each one, along with the notice period that applies.

How do I change a single cleaning?

Use this when you want to keep the visit but adjust its details — for example move it to a different day or time.

Go to "My cleanings" > "Upcoming" and select the cleaning you want to adjust. Click "Manage cleaning" and, when prompted, choose "This cleaning only". From there you can update the available details, such as the date or time, without affecting the rest of your recurring plan.

Changing one occurrence does not change your whole subscription. Your other recurring cleanings - before and after the one you edited - continue as scheduled unless you separately update or cancel the plan itself.

How do I skip a single cleaning?

Use this when you don't need one specific visit but want your recurring plan to carry on as normal afterwards.

Go to "My cleanings" > "Upcoming" and select the cleaning you want to skip. Click "Manage cleaning" > "Do you have any issues?", select a reason, then choose Cancel cleaning. This removes only that single visit.

Skipping one visit does not cancel your subscription. Your next recurring cleaning goes ahead as scheduled. If you're skipping because of a holiday or a longer absence, consider pausing your plan instead (see below), as that covers several visits at once.

How do I pause my recurring plan temporarily?

If you need a break rather than a full cancellation - for a holiday or a planned absence - you can register a period of absence instead of cancelling individual visits.

Go to the Options section of your profile and select "Add vacation". This temporarily pauses your recurring cleanings for the dates you choose, without cancelling the subscription. Your plan resumes automatically afterwards.

As with any change, register a pause at least 28 days before the first affected cleaning so that no fee applies.

How do I cancel my recurring subscription?

To cancel a recurring plan entirely, contact customer support to end the subscription. To avoid a cancellation fee, give at least 28 days' notice before the next scheduled cleaning.

What notice period and fees apply?

The same notice period applies whether you're skipping, pausing, or cancelling a cleaning. Notice is counted from the day you make the request to the date of the affected cleaning:

  • 28 days or more before the cleaning: free of charge.

  • 8 to 27 days before: a CHF 20 fee applies.

  • 7 days or fewer before: the full cleaning amount is charged.
