Booking a home cleaning with Batmaid

Learn how to increase or reduce your recurring cleaning frequency and how the change may affect your assigned agent.

Written by Stephane Journot

There's a particular kind of relief in walking into a home that's already clean: the kind that lets you skip straight to the parts of your week that actually matter, whether that's a Sunday morning coffee, catching up with family, or simply not thinking about the bathroom grout. Batmaid was built around that feeling: professional, reliable home cleaning that fits into your life instead of taking over a chunk of your weekend.

Booking a cleaning takes a few minutes, whether you need someone once, every week, or every 4 weeks. This article walks through how booking works, what options you have, and answers the most common questions about getting your first (or next) cleaning on the calendar.

How booking works?

Booking a cleaning with Batmaid follows the same simple flow every time:

  1. Go to batmaid.ch and enter your zip code to confirm Batmaid covers your area.

  2. Choose your cleaning plan and decide whether you want a one-time cleaning (Once) or a recurring service.

  3. Add any extras you need, such as windows (interior), oven, or fridge cleaning.

  4. Indicate if you have a pet or not. (To ensure that you get a Batmaid Cleaning Agent assigned, with no allergies.)

  5. Pick a date and time from the real-time availability shown.

  6. Make sure that you have the recommended cleaning materials (see below).

  7. Add your address details and payment method to confirm.

Once confirmed, you'll receive a confirmation email with the details of your booking. You don't need to be home during the cleaning, as long as you've arranged how your Batmaid Cleaning Agent will access your home.

How to choose the right setup for your home?

Batmaid offers a few different ways to book, depending on what you need:

  • One-time cleaning: a single cleaning with no ongoing commitment: useful before or after an event, or if specific extras outside the regular cleaning require an additional cleaning (windows cleaning - interior, ironing, etc.), or simply to try the service.

  • Recurring cleaning: a regular slot booked weekly, every two weeks, or every 4 weeks, with the same booking flow as a one-time cleaning.

  • Specialized cleaning: including window cleaning, deep cleaning, and end-of-tenancy (EOT) cleaning and is managed by our "Batmaid for Business" teams.

  • Office or business cleaning: cleaning services for professional spaces, booked through Batmaid for Business.

Every booking has a minimum duration of 2 hours for frequency cleaning (every week, every 2 weeks and every 4 weeks) and 3 hours for Once cleaning (one-off). Batmaid estimates that a Batmaid Cleaning Agent cleans around 30 square metres per hour, so the size of your home and any extras you add (windows, oven, fridge, and similar) will automatically increase the time booked.
